The Pakistan Super League 2025 is an ongoing T20 cricket tournament. The league began on schedule on 11 April 2025 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Islamabad United, the defending champions, faced Lahore Qalandars in the inaugural match at 8:30 PM IST / 3:00 PM GMT. The matches started with ease in the double round-robin format until the 26th Match on 7 May 2025.
The league has been on hold since 8 May 2025, due to Indo-Pak tensions following the 2025 Pahalgam attack. FanCode and the Sony Sports Network withdrew from broadcasting the PSL 2025 matches in India. After the events of the following week, the PCB decided to continue the remaining games from 17 May 2025.
Four group stage games remain until the playoff stage begins. The top four out of six teams will advance to the playoff stage, and only two finalists will emerge to face off in the finals. The playoff stage will consist of two Qualifiers and one Eliminator round before the final match.
The Qualifier 1 winner will get a direct seat in the final match, while the losing team will advance to the second Qualifier. The winner of the Eliminator will face the Q1 loser to determine the second finalist.

Given the current situation of the teams in the point table, we can determine a few things. The Multani Sultans, with only two points, have no chances of qualifying for the playoffs. Peshawar Zalmi can still qualify for the playoffs if they win their remaining two games.
Quetta Gladiators have secured their place in the playoffs. Karachi Kings and Islamabad United each have 10 points. However, KAR has two chances, and ISL has one decisive game. Given the performances, these two teams will most likely qualify. All that remains is the fourth qualifying team.
The bigger question is who will win the tenth Edition of the Pakistan Super League? Islamabad United is the leading team in titles, followed by Lahore Qalandars. If Quetta Gladiators continue with their recent form, it could be their second PSL trophy. We also have the Karachi Kings, who could claim the title for the second time. The answer? Only time will tell.
