The latest season of the Daihatsu Japan Open 2025 will be its 42nd Season since its establishment in the year 1982. Tokyo, Japan, will be hosting the complete event, which is scheduled to begin on 15th July 2025.

In this competition, the top-ranked badminton players from around the world will take part because it is categorized as a Super 750-level event as per the BWF. Super 750 level is the third toughest level in BWF; therefore, this competition also has a huge total prize pool and winner’s money.

The 2024 season of the Japan Open took place at Yokohama Arena, but the 2025 season venue shifted to Yoyogi National Gymnasium, Tokyo. Alex Lanier, men’s singles, and Akane Yamaguchi, Women’s singles, will be defending the Japan Open title in the second edition.

DAIHATSU Japan Open 2025 Prize Money Breakdown

There is a huge increase in the Prize money of the current edition by $100k compared to the previous one. So, the total prize pool of the 42nd Japan Open will be around $950,000. In the previous edition, administrators set the total prize pool of $850,000.

In the upcoming Daihatsu Japan Open 2025, there will be two major events, Singles and Doubles. Further, it will be categorized into Men’s, Women’s, and Mixed. The participants who will emerge as the victors of the singles event will receive a whopping $66,500, more than a 10% hike compared to the previous season.
