The YONEX Canada Open 2025 is the 60th Edition of the Canada Open badminton tournament. The tournament’s schedule starts from 1 July 2025 and concludes on 6 July 2025. It’s also the first time Ontario will host the Canada Open in 60 years, at the Markham Pan Am Centre.
The YONEX Canada Open 2025 is a part of the 2025 BWF World Tour under the Super 300 category. The tournament was at the Super 500 level in 2023 and 2024. After reevaluating, the competition was brought down to Super 300 in 2025.
There will be 32 players in singles and 28 to 32 players in doubles in the Main Draw. The tournament will showcase the participation of some of the top players like Japan’s Kodai Naraoka, Chen Yufei from China, and Chou Tien-chen of Chinese Taipei.

The distribution of the prize money is from the winners to the last 16 players. The cash for both categories of players differs because the doubles category players have to divide the prize money between them.
The prize pool for the YONEX Canada Open in 2025 is $240,000 as per the Super 300 category. Since the Canada Open was previously a Super 500 category, it had a higher prize of $420,000. There’s a $180,000 difference in the prize between the two years.
The Canada Open 2025 singles winner will achieve $18,000 and 700 BWF points. The doubles category winners will receive $18,960, which is $9,480 for each player. The runner-up players for singles and doubles categories have the same cash prize of $9,120.
