World Championship of Legends: Most Wickets by a Bowler- Top 10 Ranked

The World Of Championship Of Legends 2025 has already begun its second edition, and the much-awaited opening game took place on 18th July between Eng-C vs Pak-C. In the inaugural edition, Nathan Coulter-Nile emerged as the leading wicket-taker with 9 wickets at 8.05 economy.

In the current season, only two matches took place out of the 4 scheduled matches; the rest ended as No Result. So, very few bowlers of the Second season managed to take wickets, and the leading wicket takers of the previous season added a few more wickets in their stats.

The World Championship of Legends 2025 is also considered a Nostalgic competition because all the legendary cricketers are back in action after retirement. Cricket fans are eagerly waiting for the high-voltage and thrilling final match, which will take place on 2nd August 2025.

10. Chris Schofield (England-C, 7 Wickets)

Chris Schofield was the leading wicket-taker of the England team in WCL 2024. Unfortunately, England finished the season in 6th place. He played a total of five matches and managed to take 7 wickets for the England Side in WCL 2024. His best performance came in the Opening game of the WCL 2024, where he took 4/33 wickets of India Champions.

9. Xavier Doherty (Australia-C, 7 Wickets)

A total of four bowlers from the list of top 10 most wicket-takers are from the Australia Champions team. Xavier Doherty, who was standing in the 9th position, managed to take seven wickets in 6 matches for the Australian Champions.

8. Sohail Khan (Pakistan-C, 7 Wickets)

Sohail Khan gave a valuable contribution to the Pakistan team to lead in the maiden final of the World Championship of Legends 2024. He represented Pakistan Champions for six matches & took 7 wickets, and his best bowling figure was 4/21.

7. Dhawal Kulkarni (India-C, 8 Wickets)

Indian Bowler Dhawal Kulkarni is standing at the 7th Position in the list with 8 wickets to his name. He consistently performed for the India Champions in the inaugural season, which helped the Indian team dominate the opponents.

6. Peter Siddle (Australia-C, 8 Wickets)

In the second semifinal match of the WCL 2024, Peter Siddle gave his best bowling performance for the Australia Champions. He managed to take 4 wickets for 57 runs against the India Champions. Unfortunately, Australia Champions lost the semifinal match. He played a total of 6 matches for the Australia team and took 8 wickets.

5. Harbhajan Singh (India-C, 8 Wickets)

Harbharjan Singh is the leading wicket-taker of the Champions of the WCL 2024 India Champions with 8 wickets. Along with him, two other bowlers took 8 wickets, but Harbhajan’s Economy stands out in the top list with 6.67.

4. Shoaib Malik (Pakistan-C, 9 Wickets)

Pakistan’s Fast Bowler Shoaib Malik, who once dominated all the batsmen, has still not lost his touch and is standing in 4th Position. Shoaib Malik played seven matches for the Pakistan Champions and took 9 wickets, which led Pakistan to the final match.

3. Wahab Riaz (Pakistan-C, 9 Wickets)

Wahab Riaz and Shoaib Malik both took 9 wickets for Pakistan Champions, but Riaz’s economy is much better as he conceded fewer runs. In 7 matches, Wahab Riaz took 9 wickets for Pakistan Champions with an economy of 8.50.

2. Brett Lee (Australia-C, 10 Wickets)

Australia Champions Leader Brett Lee took the second-most wickets in WCL, taking 10 wickets in 7 matches. In the inaugural season, Brett Lee managed to take 9 wickets, but because of his high economy, he was not standing at the top of the rankings. In the 2025 face-off against England, he took one wicket, but the match ended as a No Result.

Nathan Coulter-Nile, Australia’s Chaplain’s Bowler, is standing at the top position with 10 wickets to his name. His economy 7.77 is the second-best economy in the list of top 10 most wickets in World Championship of Legends. During the group stage, face off against South Africa in WCL 2024, he took 3 wickets for 7 runs and was player of the match.
