Deepesh Devendran was the pick of the bowlers for the Indian team as he had bowling figures of 3/83 in his 10 overs. India had a mountain to climb when they had to bat as they ended 348 runs to win.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi started the innings in his style. India lost Ayush Mharte in the third over. Aaron George and Vaibhav Suryavanshi got out on back-to-back balls. Things really got fired up when Vaibhav got out, and a clear frustration was seen on his face. He had a lot of words exchanged with the Pakistani players and did not look happy at all. Eventually got all out for just 156 and lost the Asia Cup 2025 under-19 final by 191 runs.
When we particularly talk about what happened between the bowler and Vaibhav, it was surely not what a fan wants to see. Vaibhav pointed towards his leg, referring to the bowler, and he still needs to keep his anger in control. He is surely the future of Indian cricket and has everything to achieve great things, but this gesture during a game is something he will later realise could have been avoided. Still, the player is young and will understand from his mistakes.
