The Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2026 is set to start from the 15th of January, and it will end on the 6th of February. There will be a total of 41 matches in the competition, which includes the knockouts as well. This will be the sixteenth edition of the Under-19 World Cup, as Zimbabwe and Namibia are the hosts for this edition. Now the main question is, can India win their 6th title?

In the last edition of the Under-19 World Cup, which happened in 2024 in South Africa were a step closer to winning the title for the sixth time. The Australian under-19s stopped them as they defeated them in the finals by 79 runs to win their fourth title. At this moment, India holds the record for the most Under-19 World Cup titles as they have lifted the trophy five times (2000, 2008, 2012, 2018, and 2022). Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2026: Can India win their 6th title?

When we look at the group, the Indian under-19 team is surely the favorite to win their group, but things won’t be easy for them. The India under-19 team is in Group A along with Bangladesh under-19, New Zealand under-19, and the United States under-19 team. They will start their campaign by playing the opening match of the ICC Under-19 World Cup against the United States Under-19 team, and the venue for the game will be Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo.

The Indian under-19 squad for the 2026 World Cup surely looks scary for the opponents. Ayush Mharte will lead the team, and we have seen in the Indian Premier League what the player is all about. Vihaan Malhotra, the all-rounder, will be his deputy as he is named as the vice captain of the team. All eyes will be on the teenager, Vaibhav Suryavanshi. He is currently enjoying his game to the fullest as he is smashing bowlers for fun.

You surely can’t ignore, Aaron George, the young batter was the star for India in the under-19 Asia Cup 2025, which India sadly lost in the final. The bowling department also looks perfectly well-balanced with great pacers and a good spin department. There is no doubt that the Indian team is surely the favorite to win the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2026. Surely, anything can happen in cricket, but we are backing the Indian team to win their 6th Under-19 World Cup.
