UEFA U21 Euro Winners List (2025 Update): Full List of Past Champions

The UEFA U21 Euro is a football competition for youth aged 21 or under. Its latest Edition, the 2025 UEFA U21 Euro, is set to commence on 11 June 2025 among Europe’s national teams. The competition will last 21 days and conclude on 28 June 2025. Sixteen national teams of Europe will compete against each other for the title of the 2025 UEFA U21 Euro.

Slovakia will host the upcoming season across eight cities in eight venues. Like every other UEFA competition, the UEFA U21 Euro also applies the group and knockout stage criteria. The teams are divided into four groups that later compete in a round-robin format. The winner and runner-up teams of each group advance to the knockout stage.

Tiebreaker rules have been set in case two or more teams have equal points. However, the knockout stage has no such rules. If the game ends in a draw, extra time is awarded to the teams to finalise a winner. The additional time works on a few occasions, but if it fails, the penalty shoot-out is kept as a backup option.

The England team is currently the champion of the UEFA U21 Euro. It’s a biennial tournament, which means it occurs every two years. It was their third title after they lost the final in the 2009 UEFA U21 Euro against Germany.

Germany and England share an equal number of titles. However, the former team has one extra appearance in the finals.
