The Tamil Nadu Premier League, or TNPL 2025, is the ninth season of the competition, beginning on 5 June 2025. It’s a one-month league that will conclude its final match on 6 July 2025. Eight teams will participate in the competition. The team’s squad for the TNPL 2025 have been announced.
Tirunelveli, Coimbatore, Salem, and Dindigul are the tournament’s four venues across four cities. The round-robin and playoff stage format will lead to 32 matches for the TNPL 2025. It will consist of 28 qualifying and four playoff stages, including the final.
At the end of the qualifying, only the top four teams will advance to the playoff stage. The table topper will play the first Qualifier game, whereas the remaining two teams will play the Eliminator match. The winner of the qualifier gets a direct line to the finals, and the losing team gets another chance in the second Qualifier.
In the Eliminator game, the losing team is eliminated, and the winner competes in the second Qualifier round. Whoever wins the second Qualifier game will battle in the final match with the best team.

The team’s squad was selected and announced on 15 February 2025, 13 weeks ago. The auction for the players was held at the KMK Lobby, MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. It began at 8:30 AM IST, and the squads were made public at 10:00 PM IST.
