TNPL 2025 Prize Money: Here’s How Much The Champions Will Earn, Awards List, and Past Winners

TNPL 2025 prize money is already the talk of the show, even though TNPL 2025 is yet to begin. The tournament will begin on 5 June 2025, which still has five days to go. It will come to a conclusion on 6 July 2025, which means the tournament will last for a month.

The TNPL consist of eight participants who will compete against one another in a round-robin format. It will lead to 32 complete games, which will include 28 qualifying rounds, three playoffs and the finale.

The TNPL follows the IPL format when it comes to playoff games. It consists of two qualifiers and an eliminator, from which only the winners will enter the finals.

The TNPL’s prize pool for all of their seasons, including the upcoming one, is ₹22.5 million. However, the tournament has followed the same distribution of money to the winners, runner-ups, semifinalists and the eliminated teams. It may be the only tournament to award even the eliminated teams.

The prize money for the champions of the TNPL 2025 is ₹10 million, whereas the runner-ups will receive ₹6 million. As you know, the tournament also distributes cash prizes to the semifinalists and the four eliminated teams.

Both the semifinalists are given a ₹4 million (each) cash prize, and the four eliminated teams each get ₹2.5 million.

Award List

Since the tournament already spends enough money on all the teams, they keep limited awards for the players for exceptional performance. These include the most runs and most wickets in the entire tournament.

Along with the player of the series, for the best player in the tournament. They also give importance to the final games, man of the match, because they play an important role in helping the team win the championship.

Past Winners

In the Tamil Nadu Premier League, the Chepauk Super Gillies are the most powerful team with four championship titles. They are followed by Lyca Kovai Kings, with two titles.

Siechem Madurai Panthers and Dindigul Dragons have won one title each, with DD being the most recent winner. The Tuti Patriots were the winners of the debut season of the TNPL. However, they are now a defunct team, or you could say they were replaced by the Salem Spartans.
