Sindhu, Lakshya Headline India’s Team for 2026 Badminton Asia Championships

Just recently, there was an announcement regarding the badminton team squad, and we have the 2026 Badminton Asia Championships Indian team Squad. The team looks great with no surprise inclusions as the star players have been a part of the 2026 Badminton Asia Championships Indian team Squad. The venue for the 2026 Badminton Asia Championships is Qingdao, China, which starts from the 3rd of February 2026 and ends on the 8th of February 2026.

As per the rules of the Badminton Asia Championships, a team cannot give names of more than 10 players and fewer than four players in each men’s and women’s category. A total of four players can play in three men’s players, and women’s players will play in the Men’s and Women’s singles category, whereas there are two teams each for the doubles category in the 2026 Badminton Asia Championships Indian team Squad.

In the previous edition of the Badminton Asia Championships, which was held in Shah Alam, Malaysia, the women’s team was impressive as they won a gold medal. They were the champions in the Women’s team. It was the first time that the Indian team were champions at the Badminton Asia Championships, and it was a proud moment for India. Women’s team gold in the Women’s singles category. Basically, the Indian team was playing the Thailand team in the final, and it ended 3-2 in favour of the Indian team.

India’s Men Squad:

The highest-ranked player in the Indian men’s squad is Lakshya Sen. He is currently number 13 on the world rankings. The Indian team also has the former number one, Kidambi Srikanth, and there is also experience in the team with HS Prannoy being in it. In the previous edition of the Badminton Asia Championships, India won a bronze medal at the men’s doubles, and we have the same participants as well this time around. It is also Sai Pratheek K and Pruthvi Krishnamurthy Roy, who recently came runner-ups in the Guwahati Masters, who are in the Indian team squad.
