Kwibuka Women’s T20 Tournament 2025 is a T20 women’s cricket tournament that will commence on 3 June 2025. The tournament’s host, as every year, is Rwanda. On 14 June 2025, the competition will conclude in Rwanda’s capital city, Kigali.
The tournament will consist of nine participating teams, which is one extra than the previous season. These teams will compete against each other in a round-robin format, which, including the knockout stages, will result in 40 matches.
Out of nine teams, only four will advance to the knockout games. These four teams will play two semi-final matches, and only the winners will enter the final match. The remaining two teams will play to determine who is ranked third in the competition.
Kwibuka Womens T20 Tournament 2025 Schedule: Full Fixture List
The Kwibuka Women’s T20 Tournament was established in 2014, and the upcoming season is its eleventh edition. In the previous edition of the tournament, Uganda had defeated Zimbabwe A to win their third title in this tournament after 2016.
The Kwibuka Women’s T20 tournament 2025 schedule will consist of four matches per day across two venues, both located in Kigali. The tournament will conclude in eleven days, which will include nine days of qualifying rounds and two days for the playoffs and finals.

Kwibuka Womens T20 Tournament 2025 Teams
The Kwibuka Women’s T20 will have nine participants in the upcoming tournament. The tournament started off with only two teams, and was inconsistent throughout the years, switching from 2,3,4,5, and eight.
Kenya has the most titles, which is four. However, Kenya is not in the upcoming tournament. There are also a few other teams that aren’t in here compared to the previous season.
Instead of Botswana and Kenya, the tournament has Brazil, Sierra Leone, and Tanzania. Zimbabwe A has changed its name to Zimbabwe XI.

The Kwibuka Women’s T20 Tournament 2025 has two venues, which are the same as those in the 2024 season. Since the 2014 debut season, the matches have been held in Kigali.
The Gahanga International Cricket Stadium has been a consistent venue in all seasons. The upcoming tournament will play all four matches at this stadium, with one match on the Gahanga International Cricket Stadium and the other on the Gahanga B Ground, Kigali.
