We are into the third day of the India vs South Africa 2nd Test, and yet again, the Indian batters have failed. No batter in the team had a fighting spirit as South Africa basically had a lead of 288 runs and decided not to provide a follow-on to the Indian team. The South African team is in the driver’s seat for the India vs South Africa 2nd Test.
Basically, at the end of day two, the South African batters ended their innings on 489/10 with Senuran Muthusamy scoring a century and a quick 83 runs from 91 balls from Marco Jansen. The Indian openers came into bat and batted for 6.1 overs, as due to bad light, the umpires called it off for day two. India was 9/0.

India vs South Africa 2nd Test: Another Batting failure from Indian batters, No follow-on
The start of day three started with a positive note for the Indian batters, with KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal looking in great touch. Both players added 65 for the first wicket before KL Rahul got out, and the innings just fell off from there. Yashasvi Jaiswal later completed his fifty. Later, he got out to Harmer.
After that, the Indian batters just came and went. Sai Sudharsan, Dhruv Jurel, and Rishabh Pant went out cheaply. Four overs later, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Ravindra Jadeja got out in quick succession. Kuldeep Yadav and Washington Sundar kept the Indian innings going as they built a partnership of 72 runs. Washington got out on 48 while Indian batters lost all of their wickets on 201 runs. Marco Jansen was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up 6/48.
The South Africa team did an unusual thing as they were leading by 288 runs, but did not enforce a follow-on for the Indian batters. They came out to bat and added 26 runs in the eight overs before the umpires called it off for the day on the third day in the India vs South Africa 2nd Test. Surely, the South Africa team are in a comfortable position of the winning the test match.
