Dilip Vegsarkar ( 3 Centuries): Only overseas player to score multiple centuries at Lord’s

Apart from Dilip Vegsarkar, all the other 9 cricketers are from England in this list, and he ranked at 10th position. So, he holds the unbeaten record of scoring 3 hundred at Lord’s by an overseas player and is the only Indian to do so. His third Test hundred at Lord’s came in 1986, and he helped India clinch the first Test victory at Lord’s.

5. Andre Strauss (5 Centuries):

England Batsman Andrew Strauss scored five Test hundreds at Lord’s, and did not lose any of the matches. His fifth hundred at Lord’s came in 2012, against the West Indies, where he scored 122 runs. On the other hand, he still stands in the fourth position in most test runs at Lord’s ground.

4. Kevin Petersen (5 Centuries):

Kevin Petersen scored a total of five centuries at the Lord’s cricket ground, out of which 4 matches resulted in a draw. In the year 2011, he scored his fifth hundred (202*) at Lord’s against India, and helped England to win that match.

3. Graham Grooch (6 Centuries)

England’s Graham Gooch was the first cricketer to score the most hundreds at Lord’s, he scored 6th hundred in 1991. He was holding the record for more than 15 years, and he scored his career best 333 runs knock at Lord’s, which is yet to be broken.

2. Michael Vauhan (6 Centuries)

In the year 2008, Michael Vuahan scored 6th Century at the Lord’s and equalled Graham Gooch’s record for centuries. Except Root, there are only two players who managed to score six test centuries at the Lord’s Venue. His best score at the Lord’s is 120 against Bangladesh in 2005.

1. Joe Root 8th Century at Lord’s Cricket Ground:

Joe Root was already leading the list of most centuries at Lord’s with seven centuries in 2024. Currently, the Indian team and England are facing each other for the 3rd Test match of the Series. In the first Innings, Joe Root scored his 8th century at the Lord’s, with a knock of 104 runs.

On the other hand, he is also at the top of the list in terms of runs scored at Lord’s with 2126 runs. Apart from this, Joe Root also scored a maiden ODI hundred at the Lord’s, which he scored against India in 2018, 113 not out.
