The CONCACAF Gold Cup 2025 is one of the many and most prestigious football tournaments in the American and Caribbean regions. It will commence in almost a month, from 14 June 2025 to 6 July 2025. The final game will be played in NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. Since Canada and the United States are hosting the tournament, the matches will be held across 14 venues in 13 host cities.
Unlike every other, the venues will mostly be in the Western region of the United States because the Eastern region is simultaneously hosting the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. The CONCACAF Gold Cup 2025 will consist of a round-robin format in group stages, which will further lead to the knockout stage. There will be a total of 31 matches, including the group stage, knockout and finals.
The CONCACAF Gold Cup is a biennial tournament, held every two years, and the 2025 season is its eighteenth Edition. The previous season was the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2023, won by Mexico.

The first match of the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2025 will begin on 14 June 2025 at 11:45 PM (GMT). The inaugural game will be between the defending champions, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic at SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, the previous season’s final game venue.

CONCACAF Gold Cup 2025 Teams
As mentioned in the introduction, sixteen teams from two confederations will participate. The tournament is held among the teams from the Caribbean, North and Central American regions. Among the listed teams, Saudi Arabia is the only country invited to participate in the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2025.

CONCACAF Gold Cup 2025 Draw
The sixteen countries were divided into four pots based on the CONCACAF Rankings till 26 March 2025. The first Pot consisted of the defending champions, Mexico and the top three teams based on their results since the debut season (1993). These teams were Canada, Panama and the United States.
These four teams were assigned to lead Groups A, B, C and D. Pots 2 and 3 comprised the teams from ranks 5 to 12. Pot 4 had the three lowest-ranked teams that qualified, with the invited guest Saudi Arabia.

CONCACAF Gold Cup 2025 Group Stage
The Pot 1 teams from the draw were the heads of Groups A to D. Mexico will lead Group A, Canada – Group B, Panama – Group C, and the United States will lead Group D.
In the Group Stage, the matches are held in a round-robin format. Each team will play one match against the teams in their group. At the end of the group stage matches, the top team of each group qualifies for the knockout stage.
The teams will have three opportunities to climb the group ranking. Winning three games will ensure qualifications.

CONCACAF Gold Cup 2025 Knockout Stage
The eight teams that qualify for the knockout stage will have only one opportunity to advance to the semi-finals. Since it’s the knockout stage, there will be no draw matches. To determine the winners, the team will be granted extra time with two halves of 15 minutes each.
If no result is determined in extra time, the match will reach the penalty shoot-out stage until a team wins. This rule will be applied to the four quarterfinals, two semifinals, as well as the final match of the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2025.
