Australia squad for Pakistan T20Is revealed
Mitchell Marsh will captain the team. Travis Head, Cameron Green, and Josh Inglis are also in the squad after playing in Australia’s recent Ashes series against England. There are some big names in the team, such as Nathan Ellis, Tim David, Josh Hazlewood, Glenn Maxwell, and Pat Cummins, who are not travelling with the team, as we can directly see them playing in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.
When we look at Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, and Tim David, they are the ones who are still not 100% fit as their recovery process is going on. The board that does not want to take any risk with those players are they are 100% the ones making their place in the Australian squad for the T20 World Cup, which starts on the 7th February in India and Sri Lanka. Sean Abbott, Mahli Beardman, Ben Dwarshuis, Jack Edwards, Mitch Owen, Josh Phillippe, and Matt Renshaw are the cover players.
Two of the youngsters, fast bowler Mahli Beardman and all-rounder Jack Edwards, who are performing brilliantly in the Big Bash League, also have their names in the Australian squad. They would travel once their matches are completed with the respective teams in the Big Bash League. Both players are yet to make their international debut for Australia.
