You have certainly heard of Manchester United of the Premier League. It is one of the most renowned teams in the English football league. However, you may be unaware of the ASEAN All-Stars. The ongoing game is their second match since 2014.
The team was founded by the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) and consisted of players from regional leagues and international players from Southeast Asia. The team first played in 2024 against Indonesia, but ended up losing.

Since the team is made up of the best players of Southeast Asia, it’s difficult to pick out the star players. However, there are very few players who stand out more than others.
- Bounphachan Bounkong, an attacking midfielder, is also a suitable candidate for an ace striker.
- M. Khan is an ironclad defender as the centre-back of the team.
- Adib Ra’op excels as a left-footed defender, best as the left-back.
- Patiwat Khammai is one of the only two goalkeepers with more experience on his side.
- Sandro Reyes is another attacking midfielder at an international level at the age of 22.
