There is a huge blow for the New Zealand team as Adam Milne is out for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup for New Zealand, as Kyle Jamieson, who was named in the reserves, is named in the squad. Basically, the tenth edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is set to be hosted by India and Sri Lanka. The starting date of the tournament is 7th February, whereas the date of the final is 8th March.

Basically, New Zealand is placed in Group D of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup along with Canada, South Africa, Afghanistan, and the United Arab Emirates. They will play their first match against Afghanistan on 8th February, and the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai will be the venue. New Zealand play other two matches at M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai (Canada and UAE) apart from their first match. The other match they play at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad against South Africa.

The New Zealand fast bowler, Adam Milne, picked up an injury while playing in the SA20. He was playing for the Sunrisers Eastern Cape against MI Cape Town, and while bowling in his first over, he picked up a hamstring injury, and later the scans were done on his injury. He was performing well in the SA20 competition as he had taken more than 1o wickets in the tournament and had an economy below 7.7, which is decent enough in the T20I format.

Rob Walter, who is the head coach of the New Zealand team, shared his thoughts as he feels bad for the fast bowler. He also backed his bowler and said that he worked really hard to make himself ready for the World Cup and was in the best form as he picked up wickets in the eight matches he played at the SA20. Rob also mentioned that it is unfortunate that the injury happened at this moment and wishes for his speedy recovery from the injury.

Kyle Jamieson was named in the reserves for the New Zealand T20 World Cup squad now replaces him. Currently, Kyle Jamieson is already in India playing with the New Zealand team in a five-match T20I series against India. In the first T20 at Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur, he picked up two wickets, but it was very expensive as he gave away 54 runs in his four overs. Kyle Jamieson has also experienced playing in the Indian Premier League.
