Things are getting from bad to worse for Bangladesh Cricket as another controversial thing has happened. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) director M Nazmul Islam got sacked after the players refused to come out in between the Chattogram Royals and Nokhali Express in the Bangladesh Premier League. The umpires were waiting for the captain,n but the toss was delayed at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka.
Everything was looking normal before the match started, but things did not go as planned as we got closer and closer to the match. The Cricketers Welfare Association of Bangladesh (CWAB) demanded that they would boycott the matches if the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) director, M Nazmul Islam, was not removed from his post for his comments on the players. The second match of the day between Rajshahi Warriors vs Sylhet Titans also got abandoned without the toss taking place.

Basically, the director of the Bangladesh Cricket Board, Nazmul Islam, gave his comments a day before the match, which were not welcomed by the players. Basically, he spoke about how the national cricketers should be responsible and asked to return the crores spent by the board if they do not travel to India for their matches in the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
Mohammad Mithun, who is the president of the Cricketers Welfare Association of Bangladesh (CWAB) spoke about how the comments of the president have hurt the feelings of the players and wished that the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) director M Nazmul Islam should be removed from his position as soon as possible or the players won’t be seeing playing the further matches of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League. The match between Chattogram Royals and Nokhali Express was abandoned, and the same happened with the second match of the day, which was also going to take place at the Her-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board tried its best to interfere in the matter, but the players were firm that they wanted a resignation from the president. Later, it was confirmed that the Bangladesh Cricket Board had decided to sack Nazmul Islam from his post for the comments he made towards the players. There was an urgent meeting being called, and it was later confirmed through an official statement.
