Delhi vs Andhra Pradesh: After Rohit now Virat Kohli scores a century on his Vijay Hazare comeback

The Delhi team was all set to play against the Andhra Pradesh team, which was the first match of Group D of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025/26 edition. Delhi vs Andhra Pradesh: After Rohit, now Virat Kohli scores a century on his Vijay Hazare comeback

Ricky Bhui was the star for the Andhra Pradesh team with the bat as he scored 122 runs in just 105 balls, which included eleven boundaries and seven big hits. Shaik Rasheed, Nitish Reddy, Maramreddy Hemanth Reddy, and Singupuram Prasad all got decent starts but were not able to convert their score into a big total. Andhra Pradesh scored 298/8 in their 50 overs. Simarjeet Singh was the best bowler for Delhi as he had bowling figures of 5/54 in ten overs, while Prince Yadav picked up three wickets.

Delhi lost a wicket early as Arpit Rana got out on the third ball of the innings. Virat Kohli came in, and we got to see what we wanted to see. Priyansh Arya and Virat Kohli added 113 runs for the second wicket before Priyansh Arya got out on 74 runs. Next comes Nitish Rana to bat. Virat, along with Nitish, added 160 runs for the third wicket and took away the match from Andhra Pradesh.

Virat Kohli had a quick-fire knock of 131 runs in just 101 balls. His innings included fourteen boundaries and three massive sixes. With this hundred, Virat Kohli now has 58 List-A centuries and has crossed the 16,000 runs mark for Delhi. Whatever the team might be, Virat Kohli always has to deliver for his team. Eventually, the Delhi team later lost a few wickets but comfortably won the match by four wickets and got their first win in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025/26 season.
