Just when everyone was wondering who would replace the injured Josh Hazlewood, Australia confirms Squad for the 3rd Ashes Test, and we have a surprise addition in the Australia Squad. Pat Cummins, the Australian captain, is back in the squad, and it is a real boost for the Australian team. Now, the question is who will get the place in the playing eleven for the third test match.
The Australian team is cruising at this moment as they have a 2-0 lead in the five-match Ashes series, and if they win at the Adelaide Oval, then it is game over. Australia won the first test at Perth by eight wickets as Mitchell Starc was the hero. They also won the second test by eight wickets, and the venue was the Gabba. Again, Mitchell Starc was the hero.

Surprise addition as Australia Confirms Squad for the 3rd Ashes Test
The first and most awaited inclusion for the Australian team is their captain, Pat Cummins. It was in September that Pat Cummins suffered a lumbar stress injury when he was returning from the West Indies tour, which Australia won 2-0. Now he is fit again and will take the stage and lead the Australian team for the third test match, which starts on the 17th of December. This was what the Australian coach had to say:
We feel as though he’ll be as best prepared as can be.
We feel as though the simulation in the nets has got him skill ready. His body’s ready to go. Barring anything else happening in the next week, I’d be expecting Pat to be tossing the coin and putting the blazer on
Usman Khawaja was the player who missed the last match due to an injury, and there are chances that he will be back in the team. Jake Weatherald made his mark as he got the chance in the second test; he scored 72 runs. There was a question about Alex Carey’s batting position as he batted at the number six position with Cameron Green batting in the fifth position.
We will see that Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon will get a chance in the playing eleven. There are chances that Scott Boland will be rested for the third test as Australia wants him to be fit for the Boxing Day test at Melbourne, which starts on the 26th of December.
