The third Test match between England and India kicked off on 10th July 2025, at the iconic Lord’s, London venue. The Indian team faced a major setback during the third test, the wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant was forced to leave the field due to an injury.

In two test matches, Pant scored 342 runs with an average of 85.50. Also, he scored 2 centuries, and he was in great form in this series, so the Indian team is likely to face a setback.
At the time of the Day 1 stumps, England’s score was 251 for 4, and Joe Root was on the verge of a century. Day 2 of the test started with the 84th over, Bumrah bowled and conceded only four runs. In the third test match of the Anderson-Tendulkar trophy 2025, Rishabh Pant faced an injury to the tip of his left index finger. During Bumrah’s 34th over, Rishabh Pant tried to stop the ball by diving to the left, unfortunately, he suffered a blow to his left index finger.
Rishabh Pant was seen suffering from pain while receiving treatment from the Physio; he kept up till the 34th over was completed. With immediate effect, he leaves the field to receive medical treatment on his left index finger. BCCI officially announced that he is recovering from the Injury, and the medical team will continue to monitor his progress.
Dhruv Jurel to Keep on Day 2:
In the second Session of the first day, Dhurv Jurel replaces Rishabh Pant and puts on gloves for the Indian Side. As per the official announcement made by the BCCI and the Indian team, Dhurv Jurel will keep the gloves for Day 2, till further announcement regarding Rishabh Pant’s Injury.
