The Tamil Nadu Premier League, or TNPL 2025, is a Twenty20 cricket tournament among the local teams of Tamil Nadu. It will begin on 5 June 2025, last for a month, and conclude on 6 July 2025. Eight franchised city teams will participate in a round-robin format. There will be a total of 32 matches, including the playoff stage.
Four cities will host these games at their respective venues. Each city will conduct eight games in the sequence, starting from Coimbatore.
Coimbatore, Salem, and Tirunelveli will conduct twenty-four of the qualifier games. The Dindigul venue will host the remaining four games and the playoff games.
At the end of the qualifying stage, the top two teams will advance to the Qualifier 1 round. The third and fourth teams will advance to the Eliminator round. The winner of Qualifier 1 will directly enter the finals, whereas the losing team will join the Qualifier 2 round.
The winner of the Eliminator round will face the loser of Qualifier 1 in the Qualifier 2 round. Whichever team wins this game will be the second finalist.
TNPL 2025 Start Date, Schedule, Format, and Teams – Everything You Need to Know
The TNPL 2025 will start on 5 June 2025 at 7:15 PM IST. Dindigul Dragons, the defending champions, will play against the previous season’s runner-up, Lyca Kovai Kings, at Sri Ramakrishna College Ground, Coimbatore.
